The gentle touch of a falling drop.
Concrete sculptures, combined with a saline solution, become the scene of chemical reactions reminiscent of the natural processes of the Moravian Karst. They thus follow on from elements typical of the local landscape not only visually, but also in their procedural essence. Jindřiška Jabůrková’s site-specific installation creates a unique minimalist environment, involves the action of time in the game and finds transformative power in repetition and patience. In the interweaving of minerals and water, we find parallels between the landscape and the human body. Through the curtains, we peer into a petrified boudoir, inside which, despite the rigid matter, signs of corporeality are visible – face, eyes, tears, spine, touch. The ongoing process of salt crystallization and concrete erosion, which is invisible to the eye, is underlined by a sound ambience created by the irregular rhythm of dripping and the gentle movement of water phases.
